OUR PASSION!

People are our Passion… We, at Team Miracle Man Charity (T.M.M.C.) are blessed and honored to have the opportunity to assist people with healthcare solutions, as there are too many that go without it. Healthcare, or the lack thereof affects every person, in every way and in every walk of life.

Our spiritual, mental, and physical health and how it is cared for affects our lives as a whole; and those who need healthcare most are oftentimes those who are without it. Mostly because of lack of information and awareness and simply because they cannot afford it. T.M.M.C. aids, assist’s and advocates for those who simply cannot for themselves. Why? Because People are our Passion…

WHO WE ARE!

T.M.M.C., Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt (84-5051412) organization, founded in March 2020, located in Alpharetta, Georgia. Our charity was formed by Mrs. Delilah Helms, in collaboration with 5 other mission-driven board of directors members and officers who understood that for many people in Georgia, health insurance is either unavailable, unaffordable, or simply not adequate; meaning the insurance they have doesn’t pay for the services they need. As a result, many people within this group, forego preventative or curative healthcare treatment which could save them from pain and suffering or perhaps even save their life.

WHAT WE DO!

Through our Wellness Assistance Program (WAP), Team Miracle Man Charity fills the gap in access to care using a coordination of aid and assistance, resources and referrals; and, we fill the gap in healthcare treatment costs, medical relief supplies and equipment costs, medical related travel costs and by assisting with copays, premiums, deductibles and out-of-pocket expenses. We also provide vital resource information of healthcare services which assist the low-income, underinsured, and uninsured individuals. The resource information we provide is in the areas of, but not limited to, spiritual, mental, emotional, physical, nutritional and educational services, because we strongly believe in and emphasize the importance of collaboration across agencies and sectors to assist in promoting comprehensive support in over-all good health and wellness. (please see the Community Services tab to view our list of resource providers).

WHO WE SERVE!

T.M.M.C.'s targeted demographic is Georgia. Although any resident of Georgia who meets the qualifications who has healthcare needs or outstanding healthcare bills may enroll in the program. The WAP program will use its resources to actively target those residing in Fulton County during the current fiscal year.  We will phase into Metro Atlanta followed by other States in the following years.

HOW WE SERVE!

COVID - 19
During the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic,  Team Miracle Man Charity donated face shields to a nurse at a local hospital who disclosed that she was about to quit her job because her facility could not provide adequate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to protect them from COVID during the nationwide shortage. A member of our team asked that she distribute the face shields to her co-workers. Team Miracle Man Charity has also provided PPE in the way of reusable face shields to elderly men and women who could not afford face masks due to the shortage. We have also provided face masks, sustenance and health referrals to other individuals in need as well as to the homeless.

WELLNESS ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (WAP)

Our WAP is a nonprofit solution-based, patient assistance program established in 2020 by Team Miracle Man Charity. The chief aim of the program is to improve patient outcomes by increasing access to critical healthcare for Georgians in need.  Our WAP services include a coordination of resources and referrals, and subject to funding, we assist with medical related expenses.  We also offer patient advocacy and negotiation to help settle issues associated with access to care and debt related to illness. We offer early intervention resources and provide specific linkages to healthcare programs, educational classes, and resources of medical care services.

We also offer resource information for individuals with life-threatening and chronic illnesses, or who may be in need of (or may know of someone who is need )of comprehensive and holistic support services to assist  with spiritual, emotional, and educational support (please see  "Our Programs and Services, and  the "Community Assistance  & Services" tab for more information)

WHY WE SERVE!

T.M.M.C. holds firm to the belief that "every individual"  deserves access to adequate healthcare regardless to their ability to pay.  According to the Georgia Budget & Policy Institute (GBPI), about 240,000 Georgians who are among the working poor do not have the financial resources needed to buy health insurance on the Healthcare Exchange Marketplace and don’t currently qualify for Medicaid. Therefore, access to medical resources and supplies are a critical need among the homeless, the poor and working poor in Georgia.

We serve because we believe it is crucial that people receive the medical care, information, resources, and aid they need to achieve and maintain good health, as good health is central to human happiness and over-all well-being.  It is a proven fact that healthy people also live longer and are more productive in society. We at T.M.M.C. serve because we envision a world where no one goes without healthcare simply because they cannot afford it.
