Kidney Failure??

He's quickly checked into a regular room, and a PICC line was attached to his main artery, so that testing could begin.

Soon a vein was taken from his leg to be analyzed to find out why the sudden kidney failure...

So many tests. So many x-rays. Such a long stay...

Tests! X-rays! And more tests! Days turned into weeks... And more tests!
More x-rays! And more test!

At last, a diagnosis. Granulomatosis - a
rare disease of uncertain cause.

Lots more tests, and now lots of adjustments to make...
Lots of instructions...
Lots of information...

Finally! Time to go home!

God Still Heals and Miracles Still Happen!

December 25th 2017! Christmas Day has finally arrived & what an exciting time it is! Oh' what a day to remember... 11:00am. The sun is shining so beautifully. The turkey and ham are in the oven and everyone is preparing for our Grand Christmas Day Celebration!! My daughter, sister and I are downstairs preparing goodies for our big day affair, and my grandchildren are just waking up and starting to get dressed so they can open their many gifts. Suddenly, and all at once, I hear a call from upstairs, "Delilah! Come Quickly! I Need Your Help!!" I quickly rush upstairs, go into our bathroom and Jeffery is standing in the shower with a blank stare on his face, holding his chest saying "I can hardly breath... I think I may need to go to the hospital...". Very quickly I assist him with getting dressed, then my daughter, granddaughter and I helped him outside to the car, we quickly, but safely drive him to the hospital and rush into the emergency room. The person at the front desk takes his information and checks him in; although checking him into the emergency room was a very quick process, it seemed as if it took hours. Jeffery is quickly taken into the triage area, his vitals are taken and they seem ok, then he is taken into one of the emergency rooms where his blood is drawn and x-rays are taken. After a short while the doctor comes into the room and says, "we know what is happening with Jeffery, he's in kidney failure and needs to be admitted immediately!" KIDNEY FAILURE!! WHY?? AND HOW COULD THIS BE?? This is when Jeffery's journey began... Follow us through "Jeffery's Journey...".

Over the next several months complications started to arise. Sores formed in his mouth and nose.

So many trips to
wound care for treatments.

In and out of the hospital for x-rays, treatments and blood transfusions.

So many hospital stays...

October 2018, a couple of days prior to his birthday, Jefferys breathing was shallow and he was rushed to the emergency room again...

Taken to ICU... Breathing complications! Elevated heart rate! Lungs filled with fluid! Severe pneumonia! High fever!
Once again, Why??
_edited.png)
IV's and medical machines everywhere. He's put into a medically induced coma and soon onto a ventilator.

Just that quickly our lives have changed & suddenly I'm presented with the biggest challenge of my life, "Jeffery's Life..."
What do I do?????

I knew that Jeffery trusted God & that he was in the care of "The Greatest Medical Team in the world". Yet, I still had so many questions, and needed so many answers, so I consulted with the Greatest Physician & Highest Authority that I know - God! I also informed my prayer warrior friends and family to add their faith with mine and trust God with me & believe God for a miracle, and they did.

From personal experience, I also knew that because God had healed me of chronic allergies, tinnitus, and other things, that He could and would also heal Jeffery as well!

I then began "My Journey with Jeffery"
(book) and
I posted healing affirmations and scriptures in his hospital room! I posted the same affirmations and scriptures all throughout our home, almost daily I went through my "Conversing With My Father" (book) and I remained in the attitude of prayer... I was known at the hospital as the woman of Faith.

So many times the doctors prognosis was bleak...
Lots of fluid had built up on his lungs. His level of oxygen given had to be increased. He had not responded to the treatments. He went on 24 hour dialysis. His kidney function was fluctuating, and so on...

During this time, my sister Deborah, who is also my prayer warrior, and myself stayed at the hospital continuously. I found that, when you're going through and need support, it makes a world of difference when someone is there with you and not just there for you. Deborah was with me almost every day.
During this time I slept at the hospital.
I ate at the hospital.
I prayed at the hospital.
Night and day, the majority of my hours were spent by Jeffery's side at the hospital...

October 18, 2018! Happy Birthday Jeffery!! I got him a birthday balloon! A birthday hat! And a plate that says Happy Birthday! I kissed him on the cheek and sang "Happy birthday to you"!! Though some may say that he didn't know I was there with him, I chose to believe that he did...

Within the 2 months following his birthday, the symptoms continued: 11 different viruses, severe kidney failure, chronic pneumonia, congested lungs and a merit of other complications. The doctors informed me that for his symptoms, they were running out of treatment options. Another month passed with no significant change, the doctors called me into the conference room informing me that his prognosis is not very good, and I needed to "make the plans..."

Well, I informed the doctors that I already had made plans. I planned for him to go fishing! I planned for our next years anniversary. I also informed them that I was continuing to make the plans for him to walk our only daughter down the aisle next year at her wedding! I continued posting affirmations and scriptures at the hospital and at home, and I continued with my "Conversing With My Father."

Although I continued to pray, read my bible and keep my hope and faith in God; seeing Jeffery lay there, not moving at all, unless he was moved, day after day, which turned into month after month was not easy at all. During that time, I experienced that having faith is one thing, but when circumstances warrant that " You Trust in Your Faith", you'll soon discover, if you indeed do...

Several more weeks of having to receive blood, having continual dialysis, numerous medical treatments, strong antibiotics, surgical procedures and constant wound care...

Again, several weeks go by, and in spite of everything that Jeffery was going through, He Suddenly Began To Show Signs of Improvement!!! So much so, that he was slowly weaned off of the respirator because his lungs were getting stronger and he was breathing more on his own! Oh what an exciting time!! Without a doubt, I know that Jeffery's improvement is because of my faith, my prayer warriors faith, and the amazing medical team!! Jeffery is thriving and is getting better every day!!
_edited.png)
Jeffery's health began to improve more and more every day, even more quickly than the doctors expected! He had been in the ICU for so long that the entire medical team and staff knew him. As a result of what Jeffery had endured, and the fact that his health was improving so rapidly, he had been dubbed as "The Miracle Man" by almost everyone who knew him!!
_edited.png)
At this point, there was and are "no words" that could ever express -My elation! My joy! My emotions! Because life itself within Jeffery speaks louder than any words...
